On June 20th 2012, Foster was nominated to the Canadian Olympic Team for show jumping riding Victor, a 10-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood gelding co-owned by the Ziegler family’s Artisan Farms and Eric Lamaze’s Torrey Pines Stable. The 2012 London Olympics will mark Foster’s debut at a major games competition.

For Foster, 27, the rise to the top of the sport of show jumping in Canada has been swift. Less than a year ago, Foster was a member of the Canadian Show Jumping Team for the $350,000 BMO Nations’ Cup at the 2011 Spruce Meadows “Masters” tournament, where she helped Canada earn second place riding Southwind VDL, a 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding co-owned by Foster and Artisan Farms.

Foster was subsequently named to the Canadian team competing at the CSIO2* Buenos Aires, Argentina, in November of 2011. As the lead-off rider in the Nations’ Cup, Foster guided Victor to the best Canadian score with four faults in the first round and a clear second round to secure victory for Canada.

In March 2012, Foster and Victor were once again named to the Canadian Show Jumping Team at the $75,000 Nations’ Cup held at CSIO4* Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, where the Canadian squad placed third.

Foster was subsequently selected to represent Canada at two European competitions in May with the generous support of Own the Podium. Foster and Victor represented Canada in the Nations’ Cup in Lummen, Belgium, where Canada tied for second, and in Linz, Austria, where Canada finished third.
